News from enterprise reform department of the commission: in the afternoon of June 8 2004, the provincial state-owned assets commission held a conference attended by principals from some of the provincial enterprises to discuss and amend "Several policy suggestions related to accelerating state-owned enterprise reform". The "Suggestions" is drafted by the commission and to be issued by the provincial government. Principals from 10 enterprises, such as Maanshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation, Tongling Non-metal Group Corporation, Wanbei Coal-power Group Corporation and Jianghuai Automobile Group Corporation were at the conference and made suggestions for the amendment and improvement of the "Suggestions". Wu Jiuhui, deputy secretary of the Party committee and deputy director of the commission presided at the conference and introduced the background of the draft. Zheng Weiwen, deputy secretary general of the provincial government, was present at the conference and made guide suggestions for the amendment and improvement of the "Suggestions". Principals concerned from the provincial financial department, educational department, labor and social security department and public health department and local taxation bureau also were present at the conference and listened to the amendatory suggestions made by the principal from the enterprises.
