Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Administrative Co.,
Ltd. was organized on November 25 2003, after the
former Anhui Provincial Administrative Bureau of
China Civil Aviation was terminated. From that time,
Anhui civil aviation airport was handed over to
the provincial government for the administration.
The airport administrative company, as a state-owned
exclusively funded company, is authorized to implement
the management of the maintenance and appreciation
of the state-owned assets value in Hefei and Huangshang
airport on behalf of the provincial government,
play a foundational role of aviation market in resource
distribution and build Hefei and Huangshang airports
into modern enterprises that have full authority
for management and development, take full responsibility
for its own profits and losses and have a clear
property-right relation.
Hefei Luogang Airport is Anhui¡¯s important aviation
terminal linking the east, west and coast developed
regions. Its construction was completed in November
1977. In order to improve the modern airport of
4D standard, it was expanded in 1996. The designed
handling capacity of incoming and outgoing passengers
is 1.5 million per year and 9 medium and large airplanes
like B767 can take off and land simultaneously in
the airport. For 5 successive years since 1999,
it has grown at a rate as three times as the provincial
GDP. In 2003, conquered SARS interference, it grown
at 33% rate averagely per month. The volume of incoming
and outgoing passengers is averagely 100000 per
month. In 2003, it completed equivalent volume of
incoming and outgoing passengers of 1.1204 million.
Volume of incoming and outgoing airfreight and airmail
is 17232.3 tons.
Hefei Luogang Airport has built an airway network,
with a radial airway structure as the leading factor
and city-pair airway structure as the supplementary
factor, forming an airway structure that links the
west and the east and covers the whole country.
At present, total 15 airline companies such as Air
China, China Southern, China Eastern, Hainan airlines,
Xiamen airlines, and Yunnan airlines have put transport
capacity in Hefei airport. It has opened 25 domestic
airways to 23 large and medium cities. The average
seating rate of trunk flights to such cities as
Beijing, Shanghai, Guanzhou and Shenzhen, and to
such tourism cities as Kunming, Haikou, Chengdu,
Xiamen and Chongqing reaches 85%. The average seating
rate of other extension flights also indicates a
obvious growth trend. With China¡¯s entry into WTO
and Anhui¡¯s opening-up to the outside world, the
provincial civil aviation administrative company
energetically develops overseas aviation market.
At present, it has acquired international passenger
ticket sales commission for foreign airline companies
such as US United Airline, Air France, Korean Air
and Cathay Pacific. Periodically open overseas chartered
airplanes to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea.
Huangshang Tunxi Airport was opened to air traffic
in October 1959. It was expanded for the forth times
in July 2000 in order to improve the 4C standard
of the modern airport. A modern waiting building
of 11000m2 has been newly constructed. The designed
handling capacity of incoming and outgoing passengers
is 900000 per year. Expansion project of the airport
was completed and put into operation on May 28 2004.
At present, 19 domestic airways have been opened
to 18 large and medium tourism cities. In 2000,
it completed a volume of incoming and outgoing passengers
is 410800. The airfreight and airmail is 5073.7
tons. In 2003, it conquered heavy losses inflicted
by SARS, and completed a volume of incoming and
outgoing passengers is 238600. The airfreight and
airmail is 1198.6 tons. It has become an important
airport that links the world cultural and natural
heritage Holy Land - Yallow Mountain and Buddhist
cultural Holy Land ¨C Jiuhua Mountain.
