Anhui Provincial Land-reclamation Group Co., Ltd.
is a exclusively funded state-owned company. The
headquarters is in Hefei. Its predecessor is the
provincial land-reclamation department governing
state-owned farms, which belonged to the Anhui province.
Most of the farms were founded from 1950¡¯s to early
1960¡¯s through the state investment. In the era
of planning economy, the farms mainly produced grain,
cotton, edible oil and non-staple food products
and made important contributions to guarantee social
supply. Anhui Provincial State-owned Land-reclamation
Group Co., Ltd. was founded in October 1998 and
has 36 subsidiary enterprises, which are located
in 21 counties and cities of Anhui. Among them are
25 farms (tea farms and fruit farms). 11 enterprises
in the secondary and tertiary industry. The enterprises
in Hefei are: Huangshan mansion, New great-wall
grand restaurant, Land-reclamation construction
company, Wanyuan seeds company, Land-reclamation
supply and marketing company, Economic and trade
center, Great-wall property management company and
Modern agricultural engineering design institute.
Exists 77100 hectare land in the land-reclamation
area. Among 77100 hectare land, 34400 hectare is
farm land. There are 135200 population and near
60000 employees. At present, the farms still assume
social functions such as police, prosecution, court,
culture, education and health.
Among all the 36 enterprises, 34 are full-stock
enterprises; Yiyi milk industrial Co., Ltd. and
Huangshan mansion Co., Ltd. are holding companies.
The group¡¯s registered capital is 189.56 million
Yuan.
